She's OKAY!!!! No virus of any kind. No one, not even the neonatologist, seems to know what might have caused the sore, but it seems not to be dangerous. I just have to laugh that she was hospitalized for two days over what is probably just a little mouth irritation...but better safe than sorry, for sure.
They'll be home this afternoon!
And, the baby has regained her birthweight in a rather sudden fashion. On Wednesday, at the lactation consultation, she was down 9%. That's quite a turnaround!
Anyway, welcome home to my girls!!
