Today was our last neighborhood farmer's market of the season. It was bittersweet, because we've finally started to get these warm, gorgeous, sunny afternoons that make going to the farmer's market so much fun. There's a great park right there, so you can even get dinner and just eat and play until bedtime rolls around.
On the other hand, we've been missing this great children's music performer who plays every Wednesday at the exact same time as the farmer's market, so now we can go every week if we want. He sings the same songs nearly every time, but the kids love him and I have to admit that the songs are catchy even on the 10th go around!
When we left the market, we said, goodbye market! See you in May! And we talked about how we should have our new baby by then and be ready to introduce him or her to the fun of lounging in the sun on Wednesday afternoons, eating fresh berries and peaches, listening to local music, and playing at the park until your parents drag you home to bed. It's always a nice thing to look forward to throughout the loooong rainy and cold months we have ahead of us. Hey strawberries, can't wait to see you again in May!
