The mystery of the bread (or, we just can't stop posting!)

Sacha just made some delicious-smelling bread from some dough leftover from our cooking project. It smells so good and it reminds me of my favorite children's book of all time: Zeek Silver Moon. It's about this little boy named Zeek and it follows him as he grows up. One night when Zeek is about three, he sneaks out into the kitchen and finds his mom making bread for the next morning. They always have freshly baked bread in the mornings and he's excited to find out where it comes from! When Sacha went to go check on the bread in the oven, it made me think of that. I love that book so much that I almost wanted to name Mateo Zeek, but in the end, he was definitely a Mateo all the way. It's a really hard book to find - it's out of print - but it's worth a read if you can get it. And our house smells sooooo good right now!
