I know I'm always saying this, but this is the cutest thing we've ever seen. It is so cute, it practically knocks you over. Coincidence that a special friend just for Mateo appeared nearly at the same time as his new baby sister did? Who knows, but it sure is convenient for now!

On another note, breastfeeding is going well still, although Talia is showing some signs of the same reflux her brother had. We're doing a two-week trial of baby zan.tac and that seemed to help a lot for a little while, but now she's arching her back and screaming at feedings again, plus doing a lot of spitting up and having milk go audibly up and down her throat repeatedly. Yuck. That last one happened a lot with Mateo, who also had nasty reflux. We're planning on consulting the advice nurse and also calling Super Lactation Consultant, who will probably be able to solve the problem in some dramatically easy and obvious way.
I took this photo last night when the baby was nursing as we were watching a tv series on dvd. We blasted through all the available seasons of Scrubs with our little guy and this time we're distracting ourselves with Sex and the City (after M goes to bed) until we can manage to get season 3 of Weeds from our local video place.
Anyway, Natalia loves to nurse in this hilarious position in which she lies flat on her back and turns her head at a 90 degree angle to latch on to the boob. Mateo actually now nurses in a similar way sometimes, but it's nowhere near as funny as with a newborn. Here's what she looks like from my side of the couch. Notice how she is completely flat on her back but somehow managing to nurse anyway:

And here she is bouncing with her mama after the feeding. I have pretty small hands, but they look gigantic next to hers!

We have similar TV show taste. We have season 3 of Weeds at home now, and we watched all of SATC on DVD. Just saw the movie last night and loved it!
Cute pictures and that is adorable that Mateo has an imaginary friend!
