Skunkologist

Our little guy has recently gotten very interested in going to work. After Mommy leaves for work in the morning, Teo sometimes industriously goes to his own little riding car (which he is obsessed with and gives hugs and kisses to before going to bed) and "goes to work" too. He also wants to talk about what Mommy does at work and has started asking what Mommy's "teacher name" is. Today, Apa was visiting and Mommy got home from work, which prompted a discussion of Mommy being at work, what her teacher name was (ie, Mrs. So and So), and what Mommy does at work.

We started joking around with Mateo about what his teacher name would be if he were a teacher, and then Apa asked him if he would read lots of books with his students if he were a teacher. Totally unprompted, Mateo announced that he would read lots of books about skunks with his students. Skunks! It was one of those moments that is just so priceless you don't know what to do with yourself. Sacha grabbed the video camera and got him to talk about it a little more. We present it below for your enjoyment.

The only other thing I have to say right now is TGIF. We are tired around here and it has been a long week. Up on the docket for the weekend: hanging around with our children and hopefully doing a naked baby photo shoot with our completely edible daughter, making tamales with Apa, and hopefully working on the basement, which is my latest obsession. I seem to be in some kind of autumn cleaning mode. Viva la weekend!

Oh my goodness, gracious, what cuteness! Now, how do I enroll in Mr. L's Skunk course? I must know! :)

The un-prompted words and stories are soooo awesome. I'm impressed that you captured it on video. Such a priceless memory!
